When attempting to drag an email that includes an an attachment from the email window to the correct Address book entry, I receive a Maximizer error as follows;
C:\windows\temp\C:\windows\temporary internet files\contents.ie5\O1E209YF\Resume\Name of docement\.do How do I get it to point to the correct directory? I just found your site, great site. David |

David,
Are you using an older Maximizer Version eg. 5.0? Its clear the attchment paths getting muddled (there's two C:'s in it). Ian Wallace CABC |

I have had the same problem with V.5 and V.6.0.
With the V.5 I have installed Max on a reformatted drive ( clean install). with the same results. With the V.6.0 I have removed all references of maximizer from the registry as described in Maximizers On Line Help and then re-installed V.6.0 but still have the same results. I did have V.6 installed and working properly, but I wanted to continue using V.5 for a while (I seemed to prefer V.5 for my purposes)and now on reinstalling it it doesnt work properly. I can see the path is getting muddled but I am at wits end to be able to redirect it properly. quote: |

From the Maximizer Knowledge Base (http://www.multiactive.com/support/support_index.html):
|Reference No | |010322-0001 | | |Problem Description | |An email with an attachment is saved into a contact record in |Maximizer. When the email message is viewed in Maximizer, the email |attachment is shown with the message. When the attachment is executed |(double-clicked), Maximizer generates an error message similar to the |following: | |C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\C:\WINDOWS\Temporary Internet |Files\Content.IE5\8RGZKDMX\fc13619.tif contains an invalid path | | |Solution | |This is a Simple MAPI constraint. If you wish to save attachments with |their corresponding emails into Maximizer, you must use Extended MAPI |(Outlook 98 & 2000 with Corporate or Workgroup installation type). |

Thank you Ian And Gord Thompson for the solution. I had checked Maximizers Knowledge database but overlooked the relevant solution, so thanks Gord for finding that fix.
