I would like to backup my address book onto cd's or dvd's.
1. Does it matter which medium I use?
2. What files should I look for, to backup?

In order to perform a backup of your Maximizer System you should use the 'Backup' or 'Quick Backup' function, found either in the Maximizer Administrator under the Utilities menu or in the Maximizer Application itself under the File Menu.

Either of these functions will create a set of backup files that you can then move to either a CD-ROM or other backup medium.

So let's say I use Quick Backup.

Where do I go to find which files I have actually backed up, so that I can then back them up to another medium?

If you are using the Quick Backup then depending on the version of Maximizer you are using it will either have asked you to specify a location when the backup was triggered or the files will simply be backed up to the database location with a .sav file extension.

To find the database location click File>>Open Address Book and select the address book you've logged into, then click 'Explore', this will open the Windows Explorer to the location that contains all the files.

Typically this would be a sub-folder to the address book you're backing up
