I installed Maximizer CRM 10 Entrepreneur edition however when I try to use the program I get the following error messages:

I get the message "Maximizer is not installed or is not available at this moment" when I go to File -> Connect to Address Book.

When I try to create a new address book I received the following message: "Microsoft ODBC SQL Server Driver SQL Server Login failed for user 'maximizer_default' The user is not associated with a trusted SQL server connection."

Also when I try to open the Escona Tutorial address book nothing happen. I can open the General address book.

I am running windows 2000 Server

This sounds like a problem with security on the MAXIMIZER instance of SQL 2005 Express that Entrepreneur has installed.

I would suggest that first of all you check that maximizer_default has the following rights on that SQL instance.

- dbcreator
- securityadmin
- sysadmin

I am having the same problem. I'm trying the free 15 day trial. It installed with no problems on my Laptop but on my desktop I keep getting a series of two errors each time I try to create a new address book. It asks me for the name of the new address book and then gives me first this message:

Operation failed with error: [Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login failed for user 'maximizer_default'.

When I click OK I get the following:

Failed to connect due to invalid database entries found in the configuration file.

The previous message from CABC Support seems to make sense that it would be a permission problem in SQL 2005 Express. I just don't know how to correct this and set the rights that you indicate. Can you walk me through the process?

I should add that I uninstalled SQL Server AND Maximizer 10 Entrepreneur Edition and reinstalled and continue to get the same error.

Thank you for your help.
