Hi there,
we are using MX8 with three servers which are syncing via MaxExchange (we were not able to get it running as "remote servers"). When a user creates a favorite list in the address book on server2 this list is not being synced into the address book on server1 which is the main server in our configuration. The mobile users are only syncing with server1, so they can't see the favorite lists another user has created for the team the mobile user is member of. Are favorite lists server specific instead of address book specific and are therefor not being synced between servers? Stored searches are not really an alternative because they only can be made "public" or "personal" but not group specific. Is there a way to sync favorite lists? Thanks in advance for any answer. Bye Sepp |

We've got the same request, but no solution.
We want to sync favorite lists as well as stored searches. Even stored searches seem not to be synchronized among remotes and the server. Did anyone find a solution (e.g. manual copy of data base files?) Roland |

Favourite Lists do not synch with MaxExchange, as you have discovered. One suggestion i have, admit i have not tested it but the Maximizer file MXZS.MAX contains the Fav. Lists, you could copy this from one Address Book to the other. As i said i have not tested but worth giving it a try until Maximizer include this feature to synch, more than likely in its next release. |
