Here's the problem: I have a user defined field for sales status. When a new sales lead is entered, it is set to 'send literature' and once literature has been sent I need to change this to 'sales follow up' I can do a global edit to make them all tagged as 'sales follow up', but it does not remove the 'send literature' tag. Is there any way of removing this using global edit so that I don't have to enter each record individually to uncheck the box? Thanks for any advice you can offer.

Try this, it worked for me. I assume that you have a table type UDF called 'Sales Status', and that the 2 possible values are held under the same UDF name. Search for all contacts with the 'Send Literature' value and mark these. Use Global Edit and set the profile (for 'Sales Status') to 'Sales Follow up'. Ensure that the 'replace' option is used in the 'Global Edit Rules' and this will replace all the 'Send Literature' profiles to 'Sales Follow Up'.
