Try doing a backup/restore of your address book. I haven't really seen Max 8 very much, but my experience is that whenever something acts goofy, a backup/restore usually does the trick.

Our office is having the same problem. I have posted a query about this problem this morning. Could it have something to do with an XP incompatability? There is someone in our office that doesn't have XP, I think she uses Windows 2000 or ME or seomthing. She doesn't have the same problem, but it seems that everyone with XP have the problem. Any thoughts?

I too have been having this problem. In addition I have been unable to put "key fields" into effect.

I posted both the "My Work Day" and the "Key Fields" issue questions last year and no one could come up with a resolution to either problem. At this point I think there is a XP compatibility problem, probably linked to how Max8 sees the Administrator settings in XP. I've even tried completely removing Max8 from my computer and reinstalling it. That didn't work either. I've just had to live with the problems. Another issue popped up around the same time that these did. And that was, that when I am logging a call and make an appointment the appointment is no longer logged in the comments section of the call. Maybe Max9 will "unkowningly" resolve one or two of these issues. Then again, Multiactive has yet to send me anything about updating to Max9.

I can confirm that in my max 9 trial, i was able to not display my work day... on a side note, wouldnt it be nice for someone to have included the ability to see email and even some customized rss feeds in my work day? did anybody think of that? ( developer-wise)

MAXMAX - I think there are several thing s, that those of us who have been using Maximizer on a daily basis (for years now) should be asked about. I got an email about being in a group to "beta" the new version 9 of Max. Though I had never heard anything more out of them after the initial invitation. It had to onlyhave been a couple of months afterwards that I first heard that the new version had become available for sale. The MAX R&D folks have got to be some pretty efficient people to have gone through beta testing and product production in such a short period of time. I guess all they would have to do is read our comments on this site to get ideas of what hasn't and isn't working. We'll see. . .
