I am new to Maximizer.
I am wondering if I am able to post multiple UDF entries per contact? For instance, I would like to track revenue per year. To do this, would I make a UDF Year (as either a date or numeric field) and a separate UDF as Revenue (numeric)? How would I pull a report for each year? I tried to add 2004, then 2005, but it overwrote 2004 with 2005. |

You can have multiple UDF values/UDF (for instance - Address Book entry "Fred Smith" has "Customer likes" UDF containing both values "CD's" and "DVD's". To do that, when setting up the UDF don't check the "Single Value Only" attribute.
Having said that, Max will not link two UDF values (ie - you can't link the value for "Revenue Year" to the value for "Revenue Amount). So to do what you want to do (track revenue by year) you would need to set up the revenue $ value by year within a single UDF as shown below : 2004 - 500,000-549,000 2004 - 550,000-599,000 2005 - 500,000-549,000 2005 - 550,000-599,000 Painful, but it works. Remember, UDF's are not relational tables. - R. |
