Hi guys,

We use Maximiser 8 Enterprise (Pervasive) in 3 seperate branch locations.

We want to merge all of the contents of these databases into a single database that will then be located at our Head Office.

Maximiser will then be configured to operate under Terminal Services and the branch offices will connect via their internet connections.

As we use the Customer Service feature at all branch offices we need to merge this data as well.

We have tried the "Transfer" funcion and that works fine except it does not transfer Customer Service data....

Does anybody have any ideas as we have far too many Customer Service cases to manually re-enter.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

A Maximizer Business Partner should be able to help you with that:

(If Maximizer cannot provide a referral to a Business Partner in your area you can contact me directly.)

Centaman, if you could share any of your experiences regarding your Terminal Services (TS) deployment I think it would be appreciated by many others whose knowledge you would then also be able to draw on. In fact, if you search this board you will find many existing posts regarding TS that may prove useful.

We are using TS with internet connections for 4 heavy and 2 light remote users, plus TS connections over our LAN for 2 more heavy users. Many others on this board are using some flavour of that as well. It isn't officially supported so there are many tricks and traps which we would all benefit from sharing. My suggestion would be to simply start new threads on your questions with "Terminal Services" as part of the subject line where appropriate so searching would be easier.

Good luck, and please stay in touch with us all. We're a helpful bunch where possible.

Thanks for the replies.

We have done some preliminary tests with Terminal Server and it seems to work very well.

I will keep you all posted via another thread.
