Does anyone know how to over come the fact that Maximizer does not have Automated Process functionality?

Thanks for your reply. I didn't really have anything in mind. I was wondering how I could overcome the fact that clients who want automated processes are choosing GoldMine instead. I have not personally played with the integrators toolkit very much myslef as I get my programmer to do those things. But I will get him to look into it for me. Thank-you smile

Hi What I really meant was what do you mean by 'automated processes' ?

Are you referring to some kind work-flow or just a event plan? have you seen the ones in Max Action?

Regards

Hello, automated processes being a set of triggers that can be set off by forming an action that then in turn performs other actions. For example, whenever a new record is entered into the database and the Status field equals 'prospect', a welcome letter gets generated to the main contact of that company and sent to the printer.
I must admit, Max Action I have not really looked into. Is it in Max 2000?

Mmm Max Action does a simplified form of this, eg. posting a series of hotlist tasks. You can build triggers on UDFs but only by resorting to VB. There's something a bit more like this in Entice! I beleive. there called Marketing plans I think.
