I am using maximizer 7 with sp3 I get a 3006 invalid session detected on every workstation whenever a workstation shutsdown or restarted. I just finished reformatting all my workstations and even my 2003 server to try to fix the problem. Thanks

We had this problem years ago and it turned out it had something to do with the network connection beiing dropped. Check out this article on the KB to see if there are any solutions. Also, that version of the Pervasive database wasn't designed to work with 2003. Maybe something with that version of Windows and that version of Pervasive...

Ouch, reformatting seems a bit drastic. We're using Windows Server 2003 since it's release and we haven't had any issues. Maximizer support has published an KB article (not the one above) for configuring step-by-step the installation on a network. A search should pull it up. The article referred to by the previous poster may have some validity but then I imagine you've check out your network connectivity. DHCP hasn't presented us with any problems. The only thing outside of following Maximizer's procedure for installing on a network that affected our connectivity was brown outs. We would experience brown-outs of less than 3 sec. duration that would affect the server more than the workstations it seemed but that was an easy fix - b/u power supplies. On another note, you mention your using Max 7 with Service Release 3 - there's only been two service releases for Maximizer. Enterprise has had three - which one is it? Certainly, there's more things one could check but then you'll have to provide more details. IRIS

Well the thing is, originally the maximizer server was installed on a workstation and the databases were stored on a windows 2003 file server. But we were having all kind of problems including this one. So just recently we decided to move the server onto the server to try to eliminate possible problems. We also uninstalled Norton Antivirus just in case that was preventing pervasive from being able to close the connection. But that didn't seem to fix the problem. and there is a SP3 for Maximizer 7.0 click here

The link for SP3 relates to Maximizer Enterprise! Maximizer v7 (non-enterprise) only had two SRs. I guess if you installed SP3 then that must mean your using ME? Really sounds to me, especially with your latest post that you should do a complete uninstall off both the server and one workstation for now. Quite simply, too many things come to mind with installing Maximizer/Pervasive and Windows Server to cover here when Maximizer Support has dedicated a whole document to it. Iris
