After scanning in 5-7 letter size pages (some typed, some hand written notes), creating a PDF file from them & adding the document to a Max record, I get the OLE - Unknown error message 14 error pop up and can't open the attachment.

This happened in a few instances where the file exceeded 18MB. We found a way around it was to scan the typed Word document separately (it's a form, if that makes any difference...) and scan the handwritten or typed notes separately, adding them in as 2 documents.

However this isn't an ideal fix - do you know a way to correct the problem? Is there a maximum file size that Maximizer can take per document (we're using version 7 pervasive)
