I'm trying to get some answers regarding Maximizer 5.0 working with Pervasive.SQL 2000. Since we loaded Pervasive.SQL, we have been unable to run Maximizer (Btrieve 6.15). We were told that Pervasive.SQL and Btrieve cannot coexist, but I have found some
information on the Internet to the contrary. Pervasive says that Btrieve 6.15 and SQL 2000 usually will work together. But Pervasive is no longer supporting Btrieve 6.15. Instead, SQL 2000 has Btrieve 7.5 in it.

My question is will Maximizer 5.0 run with Btrieve 7.5?

We've done a couple of client/server installs under that scenario. Each had its own little quirks, mostly to do with the version of WBTRV32.DLL being used. We found that the v7.5 "compatibility" version of WBTRV32.DLL would break things in certain circumstances and fix things in others.

Also, if using the v6.15 version of the requester, remember to increase...

HKLM\Software\Btrieve Technologies\Microkernel Workstation\Version 6.15\Settings\Max Communication Buffer Size

...to 64512.
