I'm afraid that I have the most basic of questions but haven't found an answer using the search keywords I've chosen.

We need to send out our address book data to a company that will correct outdated zip codes and remove duplicate entries. The export..I have NO problem with.

But from what I can tell from the Import options, the help file info states that Max Enterprise 8.0 doesn't allow for "overwriting" of data within a given address book record. Can this be true?

How do people keep their address book information up to date (and retain the historical transactions that refer to each ID number) if an Import with overwrite isn't an option?

We can't do 28,000 records by hand. There must be a way!
