Ok so it might not techically be all maximiser, but
Am trying to set up remote users with email as the transport. I have outlook express 6 on the server to process the packets and setup an email account for it to use, Appears to be connecting as the contact to who i am sending the packets is in the outlook express contact book, and you can browse within site manager settings to the contact in the address book... ergo mapi system logged into by maximiser. however when processs data packets is used, a "could not start mail.if you intend ...use MAPI or VIM compliant..." appears Also on client machine the Maxexchange remote shows the same error when trying to process, after requester to log into MAPI mail system requester box a <login failure> box appears however i'm using outlook 2000(not express) which i know maximiser works with as its been running fine for years on the LAN maximiser system. Any clues or have i lost the plot?? |

Are you sure you're using the correct profile name? I ran into a problem when we first rolled out MaxExchange that support helped me with.
Go into your Control Panel on the Server and go to the Mail tab. If see a button there called "Show Profiles", click it. You just need to make sure the correct profile is being used. |

Theres only one profile on the client pc, and the server doesnt have a mail tab, icon or what have you... (server2003)
I'd still like to use email as transport method however, Any pointers as to the stability of the other methods of synchronisation |
