You have likely encountered a problem with the gateway configuration and/or the pervasive licensing. I would suggest you check where the Pervasive Gateway is assigned (it should be assigned to the machine that is acting as the server and has the licenses installed on it). Maximizer suggest that the instructions for configuring this are contained in pages 30-32 of the Maximizer 9 Manual. To determine which machine should be the gateway you should run the License Administrator found in the Other Utilities menu under Start>>Programs>>Pervasive. Run this on each machine, the machine with multiple licenses installed should be the gateway. If neither of the machines have the extra licenses setup then you should pick one to be the gateway, configure it as above and then reapply the Pervasive Licenses in the Maximizer Administrator under Utilities>>Install Multi User License.

C.A.B.C Ltd does indeed offer a support service, we tend to find that most issues can be solved via remote access using a tool called Netviewer, site visits are generally only needed in rare cases. If you'd like to discuss our hourly rates and the possibility of booking some time from a consultant I'd suggest calling our sales line on 01635 570970. Back to the issue in hand though, have you checked both the Pervasive and Maximizer licenses installed on the server?
