How do I go about editing (or even viewing) a macro? Is it even possible?

I built one the other day to perform a rather mundane task, and every time I didn't get it exactly right, I had to start over again. Is that the intention by design? I can't find any place to actually open a macro for editing, only "Record", "Run", and "Delete".
