I am running Maximizer ver. 8. I closed my address book, but the function under the Admin GUI -> Utilities -> Backup Address book is grayed out. Is there anything I can do to make the menu item active ?

To clarify, make sure you're not logged into an Address Book in Max Admin. If you're not and you stilll have the problem, I'm tapped out.

I read through the documentation a few times, but it was not clear to me that there is a close address book in Max admin AND a close address book in the Maximizer client. Closing the address book in Max admin did the trick. Something so simple... yet so frustrating. Thanks for the help !!!!!!
