Invalid page fault error

I have a multi-user peer-to-peer installation.
When i launch maximizer after a boot or a reboot of my PC, when i type username and password and click OK, the system displays the following message : MAXWIN caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL
and the application terminates.
This does not occur if i click cancel at login and then i open the same address book folder and type username and password and click ok.
Now, if i close maximizer and i reopen it all go correctly, and the error will occur after next reboot.
(Sorry for my english !)

someone else with this fault (see Max6 client/server posting above)

I will tell you what i told them

What version of Maximizer are you running?
if it is not running a Pervasive Engine, this lot wont help.

What operating system are you running Win 9x or Win2K.
If you are running Win2K or NT check in control panel>system>advanced>environment variables: that you have C:\Pvsw\Bin in your User variables and System Variables
If you are running Win9x goto Start>Run: and type sysedit and check you have
Set path=C:\Pvsw\Bin

Another good place is to type PATH in Ms-Dos or Dos Prompt (depending on what o/s you have)

Next

Try going to Windows Explorer, Drag and Drop the file C:\Pvsw\Bin\W3DBSMGR.EXE into your Windows start up folder, via either your Start Menu or if you know its exact location in Windows Explorer, do it that way.

When it is in your start up folder, Right click it then select properties>Shortcut and where it says Target it should say;

C:\Pvsw\Bin\W3DBSMGR.EXE -BTRV
(You add the -BTRV)

Yes, dont run Max Alarm and Finder if you dont really use them, and BP Window removal definetley helps if you dont use that either.

Hope this helps

I too have this problem but ... I have been through all that CABC suggest. Some systems are all OK (a mixture of W9x and W2k workstations), but we have three (two W2k and one W9x) systems where we get the invalid page fault on closing Max 6.
I have tried re-installing (with the SR2 update) and everything seems the same on both the systems that work and those with the problem.
Any further suggestions would be welcome.
