am facing a very strange issue – when I try to edit some of my companies the system stalls and takes forever, then I get the following error message:
"An UNRECOVERABLE error occured on the "Address Book Entries" file. File integrity cannot by guaranteed. Refer to your documentation on recovering damaged files"

Then after pressing “OK” I get another message:

"Duplicate or missing ID number"

And none of the edits gets applied.

What Version? Does it happen on all entries or just that one? Are you on a remote database? If you are then you can try restarting the machine first but also go into your database connections and delete the the DSN connection and then restart Max to recreate the DSN connection. we had a different Error 19 msg but this seemed to help us!

I'm having the same issue with the error code 19. This happens with the customer service reps here. Some get the error message while updating an appointment, creating a hotlist or adding an account.

I deleted the DSN and restarted MAX - a few days later it came back.

Sometimes we experience notes going blank, hotlists and appointments disappearing, then re-appearing after restarting maximizer or even the PC.

Can someone assist?

Well if your Rep's have a remote database you can try not only deleting the DSN connection but also delete their remote database. Then recreate it and do a full refresh we did that as well with some success. We had this problem with 10.5 but we are now on v11, so far so good!
