So I am wondering if there is a security setting that prevents UPDATE statements???

I am connecting through PHP and can get info from Maximizer no problem. I can also UPDATE the default database (General) that is created when you first install Maximize from PHP. But I can't UPDATE the database I need to update.

There must be some sort of security setting???

Maximizer ODBC respects the access rights assigned to the UserID that connects to it. So, the first thing to do is make sure that the UserID you are using has the appropriate "Modify" rights in that address book.

Also, the ODBC connection will not let a user modify a particular item if they do not have "Full Access" permissions to it. Make sure that "Full Access" permissions for the address book entry (or UDF, or whatever) has been granted to

- "Public" (i.e., everybody), or

- the UserID in question, or

- a Security Group to which the UserID belongs.
