I just purchased Maximizer 6.0 in which I should have received "Maximizer Link for the Palm Computing Platform 5.5". I also have the Palm Pilot Model III xe.
How can I download one of my address books from Maximizer to my Palm?

You need to install the Maximizer Palm Link software which is included with Maximizer 6.

Re-insert the CD and select it from the auto-started menu (I think!) Be prepared to spend some time getting it working and read the PDF based manual. There is a Wizard that appears from a button in Maximizer for configuration. If all goes welll when its configured you just dock the palm and press the 'Hotsync' button.

Do not set too high a coms speed on the serial line (19200 is good) and make sure you've spare categories in the palm database. Do not download your entire Maximzier contact list unless its reasonably sized.

Thank You for your prompt response. Here is what I did ...
1. Inserted CD and clicked on "Multiactive PDA Products"
2. I was taken to the site: www.maximizer.com/client/pda.html
3. Screen with "Maximizer Link for the Palm OS Devices shown. So, I downloaded Maximizer Link
4. I found the program file: "maxlinkpalm60.exe" in my temp file.
5. I opened this program and the following message appeared: Setup cannot find Palmpilot Desktop files.
Maximizer Link requires 3Com Palmpilot Desktop 2.0 or greater to be installed. It is better to install Palmpilot Desktop and then re-run Maximizer Link Setup.
I answer "yes" to "Would you like to continue now?"
6. I then get this message: Maximizer 97is cannot be found. Maximizer Link requires that Maximizer 97is or greater be installed. Please install maximizer and then re-run Maximizer Link Setup.

There you have it! How do I proceed from here?

It sounds as if you Do not have the Palm Desktop Software installed on this PC what you might want to do is Install the Palm Desktop software first and then try installing the Maximizer Link Software
