Microsoft Outlook Calendar Integration (MOCI):
This is probably an oldy but i need some reminding and some for & against arguements please. I have a client of approx 35-40 (Max Ent 5.0 Btreive C/S 6.15) users who as of recent decided to enable MOCI to Outlook '98. Since this switch over they have come across a fair number of issues: 1. Maximizer has started to increasingly crash. 2. Appointments made in Max that include other attendees will appear in the appointment creators Outlook calendar not once but also for each person they invited. 3. Appointment times are changing. Meetings made in the Max calendar when reopened again have a new time made against them, usually been moved on by 1 or 2 hours. Are these common problems as this client now has to decide whether to use Outlook for its Calendar tool or go with Maximizer's calendar, using the two together is causing too much grief. They are using Dr Solomons anti virus and i have come across issues with other clients who McAfee (which i beleive Dr Solomons comes under the same family?) and have produced strange goings on with MOCI running, things such as the integration only ever running one way. Any thoughts and opinions would be appreciated to guide what path this client should take. |

I agree the MOCI interface is limited in its operation. It does not 'synchronise' merely passing on changes from one system to the other.
Yes I've seen it cause crashes though I think its fair to say some of these seem to point back to problems with the outlook/office installation. I find that companies will usually go for one calendar or the other. There are plus's on the Max system because data's actually linked to the cient history. But the outlook Calendar remains popular as its often used in the parts of the business that do not have Maximizer as well as those that do. Regards Ian Wallace CABC |

Hello Dasha
The MOCI System within Maximizer is not very reliable system. Best not to sell this feature it is not true integration between Maximizer and Outlook. |
