I'm trying to setup MaxExchange 6.0 to work with email. I think I did everything the manual said . The server appears to send the refresh pack ok. On the remote side, the packet(s) show up (in Outlook Express 5.0) ok. When I tell Exchange Remote to process the packets it simply deletes the the packets from the inbox. It doesn't load the address book. Any ideas? Need more info? Thanks.

Hi Steve,

I think this is a symptom of not having the settings for the data packets correct on the server. I think if you change the format of the Datapackets to 7bit for that site in the Distribution List Manager everything will work fine. You may well need to resend the refresh though frown

I would recommend if at all possible using the FTP protocol as it significantly more reliable.

Thanks for the tip. Server and remote are now processing the packets. FYI, Tech Support told me that Outlook Express 5.0 wasn't supported and that I needed to use Outlook 98 or 2000. I should send you the $200!

You said FTP was "significantly more reliable". Care to elaborate on that? FTP is not an option for me. What sort of problems might I run into with email?
