Address Book entries going missing?

Very mysterious - we have had multiple Address Book entries that people swear had been there somehow disappear.

This has happened occasionally over the past couple of years. Have never been able to trace it so I can't be 110% sure it isn't user error, but multiple users have reported it occuring independently of one another. Only two people have Delete privileges - myself and one other, who would never delete an entry and has no memory of ever receiving the "Are you sure?" prompt in the case of an accidental deletion.

Can anyone advise :

1) If they have had this problem?

2) If they have any idea of what might cause this problem?

3) If deleted records are truly deleted or if they can be accessed somehow?

4) If there is a log that could be somehow activated to track deletions?

TIA - R.

Woops - should have advised we're using Max 7 Pervasive Workgroup in a Terminal Services environment under Windows 2000 Advanced Server.

Hey, Rooster.

1. Have you searched for the records while logged in as MASTER, after double-checking that MASTER has "Can modify other user's private entries" enabled?

2. Have you tried doing a complete Maximizer backup/restore (not a Quick Backup)?

Thanks, Gord - tried both the MASTER search and the backup/restore. No joy either way.

Anyone have any other ideas? For how to look for them or log deletions?

TIA - R.

Woops - just discovered the Backup/Restore erased my Autosignature! Ouch! Given it didn't fix the problem and it did do this, plus potentially other stuff I have no desire to stumble across, I have restored from the copy made before I ran the Backup/Restore.

Double Woops - had logged back in as MASTER in error - Autosignatures are fine.

Sorry 'bout that. Mild case of UBD.
