We are using Windows 2000 pro clients, on a 2000 server with Max 6 enterprise and outlook 2000.
When using outlook to send email via maximiser, we constantly get an error; Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients. Subject: test Sent: 07/06/2001 15:09 The following recipient(s) could not be reached: 'N Test' on 07/06/2001 15:09 No transport provider was available for delivery to this recipient. We have checked, double checked and tried all the available options in Max, Preferences, Email, Advanced and have reviewed all Max technotes but still canot send an email from Max thru Outlook. Anyone have any ideas? |

For info CABC are not the company who originally sold us Maximiser.
CABC have provided us with excellent support as far as they are able - considering we didnt purchase the software from them. ( I wish we had) thanks CABC. |

Hi Jason,
Unfortunatly that seems to be a 'feature' of the product See the link below Click Here Its appears there is no fix available for this at the moment however I will contact you if I hear anything regarding a fix. Best regards, Nick Welburn CABC Support [This message has been edited by CABC Support (edited 07 June 2001).] |

*UPDATE*
If you drag a contact onto the email button on the left Nav bar, then an outlook window appears - to create a new email. *NOTE* You need to have previously clicked on the email button (also, why doesnt this window appear when you select the contact, right click and do send email - the normal Max email client appears?? another bug??) If you then double click on the persons name in the To field of the outlook window, you will see that the "message type" is set to the users email address. This is WRONG and is the reason for the 'no transport provider' error message. If you change this to SMTP the email will be sent successfully. However, in ALL cases when using Outlook 2000 as your email client, a record of the email DOES NOT get saved to the documents tab - even though this option is ticked in user preferences... Also, another issue is when creating an email using Outlook, you CANNOT switch to any other application - for example to reference some information from another application. This is another **** quirk also. |
