Once again Maximizer has let me down...databases will not open and in attempting to restore back-ups the PC will not respond.
These were a few databases that worked fine until a few weeks ago...and this is not the first time I have had this problem. In trying to open them, having checked the path for the files was correct ( never moved so should have been anyway) there is no response whatsoever. Have to say I'm giving up on Maximizer. Lost too much data and when back-ups won't work either, it's time to say goodbye. Any other ideas ? |

Sorry to hear of your dilemma and if this suggestion works for you - great!
Through the Adminstrator module and without Maximizer running or being logged-on within Administartor to a dbase create a new address book. Give it a short name like "test" something you haven't used before. When prompted to copy over preferences from another database select NO. Now, while still being looged out of any database select Utilities/Restore and select this new database. The next screen select ALL FILES and finally at the prompt for the location of the dbase to restore select the location of your backup for your *old* dbase. Let us know how it goes! IRIS |
