When I send an email to multiple contacts within Maximizer, I would like to be able to select the email account that it originates from.

Emails are being sent via Outlook 2007.

Is the only way to do this to change the default account in Outlook?

Thanks.

When you create the email, you can change the "From" field by clicking on View > From Field. then typing in the desired "From" email address.

Thanks for your reply; this doesn't work for me.

If I have the screen open that says "Compose email message" (which is open when I send an email to multiple contacts simultaneously) there is no "From" field on the View menu.

Instead, the View menu gives you the following choices:
-All Companies and Indivivuals
-All Contacts
-All Address Book Entries
-Last Session List
-Favorites List
-Recent Favorites List
-Add to Favorite List
-Remove from Favorite List
-Clear list
-Activities for...
-Phone log
-Free Time
-Peg Board
-Column Setup
-Toolbars
-Sent by
-Properties
-Refresh

Your thoughts are welcomed, with thankis.

Very odd - I have no idea why you'd have an option to send an email to your Peg Board or Columns Setup!

Try this (it's based on Max 7 but should be similar for Max 9 although I have no idea about Max Enterprise of any flavour):

1) Select a couple of Address Book entries

2) Right click on one, select Send EMail

3) The resulting dialogue box should be named "Send EMail", and offer you 3 groups of options - "EMail address options", "Send email options" and "Recipient Type. Make sure "EMail Address options" has "All selected entries" selected); Click OK

4) You should now be in the screen where you can compose the email (enter Subkect Line and body, etc.); Assuming you are, select View > From Field to make sure it's checked and my solution above will work

Sorry, this doesn't work.

In Maximizer 9, the View field only has the options I outlined above. There is no 'from' option.

Any help would be appreciated.

I know what's going on. You're selecting the Address Book entry, then clicking View within Maximizer, so it shows you all the Maximizer options associated with that Address Book entry. That's why you get options like "Peg Board".

To see the "From" option you have to be actually in the message itself and click the View option within the email message (the box/window/screen where you are composing the email). Look right below where it says "Untitled - Message", and above where it says "Send". On the bar in between those two it will have the File - Edit - View ... bar - click View there and it will show you the "From" option - if you see "Peg Board" as an option you're looking in the wrong place.

Rooster, thank you for your efforts.

Unfortunately, my version of Maximizer just doesn't have those options. The screen is entitled simply"compose message" and there is no File-Edit- View- bar.

I have left a voice mail for Maximizer. I hope they respond.

We are getting closer ...

The reason you have different options is that you are using Maximizer's built in email client and I am using Outlook as my email client. If you wish to continue using Max's built in email client, then the only folks who can help you are the ones at Max or a Max Business Partner (or one of the other users here if they decide to speak up!). And it may well be that you can't "get there from here" using Max's built in email client as it's somewhat limited (I am being kind).

However, getting Outlook and Max/Outlook integration properly set up for you will require some level of technical assistance, and it may be something you don't wish to do.

So if you wish to continue to use Max's email client then you'll likely need the advice of someone knowledgeable with that, and it may not give you what you want. And while for sure the Outlook/Max combination will give you what you want, you will need to switch to using Outlook as your email client and will need the advice of someone knowledgeable with both Outlook and Max.

Sorry, wish I could have been more help. Oh, where is PillPopper when you need him? sigh ...
