After entering ALL of my data into two address books and prefecting every syllable my computer CRASHED!
I am in tears over this. I need it up and running for my client by next Wednesday. It took weeks to get that data in there. Yes, I backed up frequently. And I am hoping...ok praying that I can somehow recover it all. So far, I have been on this for about 8 hours with no luck. My computer had to be reformatted. I had to reinstall Maximizer 8. The files I have are on a back up external drive. But I can't get Maximizer to to recover or import them. When I get to the stageof recovery, the files are not listed among the folders that can be recovered and notnhing I do seems to put them there. Anyone? Please? HELP? |

If you have the backup (.sav) files from your orignal address book then you can restore them into any address book. All you need to do is create a new address book (File->New Address Book). Then go to to the administrator:
Select restore address book Select the address book you just created Select all files and browse to the backup files from your external drive and click restore. Alternatively. if the backup of the database you have is a copy of all of the .MAX files then all you need to do is copy the .max files to a local directory from your external drive. In Maximizer go to File-> New Address Book and browse to the folder that contains the .Max files. Maximizer will tell you that it already contains a Maximizer database and if you click OK it will use these files. I hope that helps |
