Global list problem

Hi,

I use MAXE 7.5 pervasise WGP with 5 licence; it has worked very well until I rename the PC who is assigned as a server and an other workstation.
I can't open the adressbook in a global list. When i want to open it, there is a message that tell me that my AdressBook does'nt exist (but it showsme the old path). I modified the server name in the registry editor but it doesn't work. When I want to create a new Aressbook in the global list, the path is \\C\\Program files\maximizer\Madata6.
Do I have to perform a new installation?

Thank you for the replies.

Well,

1. You could do a reinstall on all your machines,

...or...

2. You could try hacking the copies of MxzDir.cfg to reflect the new server name (note the use of the plural - there is more than one ), and make any corresponding registry changes, and reset the ~pvsw~.loc file using the Gateway Locator utility on the server, and hope it works,

...or...

3. Change the machine names back to what they were before.

I would recommend option #3. Failing that, option #1 is probably the safer route.

Thank you very much. I chose the option 2; i rename the central Adressbook and the DB server in the Registror Key editor. I replace the old server name by the new one in the MxzDir.cfg's file. it seems to work very well.

Thank you for your help.
