I am using Max9 PE & the Backup & Restore Address Book in the Administrator is grayed out. Max9 is closed so the database is closed & only the Administrator is open. The database is not open anywhere else on the network either. TIA Tony | ||

TonyL, when you go into Max Admin does it ask you to log in? If so, hit Escape to cancel that step. Then you will be in Max Admin without being logged into an Address Book and the Backup/Restore utilities will be available to you. Alternatively, if you are in Max Admin, cilck on File > Close Address Book to accomplish the same thing. I believe you are in Max Admin logged into an Address Book without knowing it (says the voice of bitter experience!). - R. | |||

Thanks Rooster. That was the problem. I didn't realise I had to be logged out of the database in the Administrator aswell. Many thanks Tony | |||
