I have an opportunity to upgrade my current cell phone and would like to try an integrated cell/PDA if I can. Can't find a list on Maximizer.com/support as that list only goes back to Max 8. Even there, the only cell/PDA combo device I see is the Treo 600.

Background is below, but can anyone share their experiences, good or bad? Also, anyone know where I can find an official list of the PDA's supported by MaxLink 7?

We're using Max 7 and will not be upgrading to Max 9 - Enterprise 9 is a possibility but a year or so away even from that. My cell provider (Telus Mobility) currently sells Treo 700wx, Treo 700p, Moto Q, and UTStarcom 6700 PDA's. I don't want to change my cell number so I'd have to go with one of these.

TIA - R.

I am using the UTStarcom 6700 from Telus and Enterprise 9.5. Sync'ing with both Outlook and MaxMobile which both work flawlessly (Highly recommend the extra memory card) My own experience with all types of multi-function devices though is that they end up compromising something!

In the case of the 6700 for me it's the phone, sound and everything is good but I don't like using the touch screen for dialing. MS Voice Command helps but it dosen't work with the Bluetooth headset

I spoke to companionlink.com, the makers of a leading sync with Act! and Goldmine and Outlook, and they said that they are coming out with a sync for Maximizer... You might want to contact them. It wont be overnite, but it will be worth the wait.

Thanks for this, folks!

Les, are you syncing the UTS with Max? Why did you choose it over the others?

Hi, Rooster.

>Les, are you syncing the UTS with Max?

Les' post indicates that he is syncing with MaxMobile

http://www.maximizer.com/solutions/maxent/wireless-crm.html

See the section entitled "Offline Sync for Windows Mobile Device Users: MaxMobile CRM 9.5".

According to Maximizer, with Max Link 7 there were no phone/PDA combinations supported :

Oh, well, there go my dreams of eliminating one device.
