i want to copy my maximizer 9 files from a flash memory stick to my hard drive. it sems to hang on the file mxzd znd i eventually get a message "cannot copy mxzd the path is too deep" what can i do.

Sounds more like a Windows filesystem issue than anything Maximizer related per se.

But I would never try to copy maximizer files directly. I might copy a folder containing backup files, but they're compressed and designed to be copied.

So, if you can use the database from the flash drive, then:

1. make a new folder on your desktop named "maxbackup" or something

2. Backup the database to the new folder

3. Restore to a folder on your hard drive where you want the database (clicking "yes" when it points out that you're restoring to a different location).
