I am new to this. Using single computer PC wxp home.I had someone install Maximizer 8. It worked fine. My computer kept crashing and decided to do a reinstall. Copied all the files pertaining to max…I hope. Reformatted and went to install back. I installed Maximizer but won’t recognize any of the files on the other disk. Does anyone know how to get back the files and restore maximizer as it was? Note there were no previous backups.(*.sav)
Also for some reason the.MAX files are “paper port documents” (Brother Printer Software)

My very strong suggestion is to find a Max Business Partner to help you on something this complex. Check out http://www.maximizer.com/partners/index.html and click on the "Find a Business Partner" button.

What I do in these situations is: create a new address book, which will create a new set of Maximizer files. Then close Maximizer, copy your old set of Max files & paste them over the new set.

Re: .max extensions, yes if you have Paperport on your computer, as I do, all of Maximizer file extensions say Paperport. Not sure how to work around this.
