I'm an insurance broker.
I use the Opportunities module to keep track of my current prospects and clients as they progress or die in my sales process. When the current sales process is completed either as a sale or as a non-sale, I want to remove the entry from my opportunites list without deleting the records of this sales sequence from my address book. In other words, I want to store everything that happened or didn't occur in this sales sequence while my client was listed as an opportunity in his/her record in my address book. I want to get him/her out of the Opportunities module without deleting this sequence from his record. How can I do this? |

Good Morning,
Generally the best way to deal with this is to mark the opportunity as won or completed at the end of the process, that way it is removed from the currently active opportunities list. |

Thanks for responding to my question.
In other words, add "Completed" to the pulldown menu of Stage? If I do that,I'll have a nice long list of completed opportunities. This is a nice list to have, but I'm using Opportunities to list the clients that I'm actively working on a project with or trying to sell now. How can I remove a prospect or client from the Opportunities module without removing him/her from my address book? |

Good Morning,
Sorry for the delayed response. What I mean is if you change the status of the opportunity from 'In Progress' to 'Won' or 'Abandoned' then the opportunity will not appear in the list of current opportunity records. |
