Hi Max,
As far as I am aware there is no way to remove a folder password without knowing the password. However if you create a new database without a folder password and use the Maximizer transfer address book entries function to transfer over your address book entries, documents, etc all the various options in the list. From this you will end up with a new database with no password. You will however lose Personal Hotlist tasks, all user details on the database e.g. logins and security. You will also lose calendar entries which are not associated with Companies in the address book. I hope this helps even if its not really good news... Best regards Nick Welburn CABC Support |

We've got the same problem as Max had, we've just installed V6 & are trying to access a V5 folder that we've not used for 6 months odd. We've created, as you've suggested a new Address book with no password. However, when we go to use the Maximizer transfer address book entries function the option is grayed out!. What are we doing wrong?

Your user probably just has the permissions for transfers turned off. Log in as the MASTER user. Make sure the MASTER user has transfer permission under File>Preferences.
