Hi All;
I just upgraded our Max 7.5 Ent system to a 9.5 Ent system on a new server. The server is a dual CPU Windows 2003 box with SQL Server 2005 on the same server. Everything seems to be running well, but in the SQL logs I see humdreds of the following errors: "Login failed for user 'EMAILUSER'". EMAILUSER exists in both the SQL Schemas as well as Users tab under Security for the Address Book database. Anyone have any ideas why I am getting this error? Thanks |

Hi, Matthew.
When you moved the SQL database did you use a procedure similar to the one outlined here? |

yes I did follow those procedures.
I turned on the error logging for the Email Campains and get this CURRENT DATE: 2007/12/06 00:13:17 ================ OPENING LOG ================ CURRENT FILE: workspace.cpp 00:13:17 ERROR [Line 362] Configuration data of Address Book 'Inkys' are not set properly (Reason: Failed to connect to Address Book. ). 00:13:17 ================ CLOSING LOG ================ and this error CURRENT DATE: 2007/12/15 00:02:00 ================ OPENING LOG ================ CURRENT FILE: EmailService.cpp 00:02:00 ERROR [Line 238] E-mail service: Service is not configured properly [Reason: AUTO_EMAIL_CYCLE_TIME] |

To solve this problem, remove the EMAILUSER from the database security/users and add it again this fixed my problem, you need to make sure that the EMAILUSER can log on your datbase from the odbc connection as well MAS_DATBASENAME
