Can anyone help?! My company are just in the process of changing our CRM (from Goldmine 6.7 which is awful!)and having looked at a few options we think that Maximizer Enterprise is the way to go. However we have a concern over the speed of operation. During the demonstrataion we had, it seemed to be quite slow. Is this true? I would appreciate any feedback on this as everything else about it seems great for what we want.
The speed of the system depends heavily on how its configured, the hardware its installed on and how its used.
If you have a lot of data and you perform a search to retrieve all that data then the system is going to react slower than if you are searching for only a small subsect of that data.
Its also heavily dependant on the hardware the server end it running on and the speed of the network. Again if you have lots of data (and/or lots of users) then you will need quite a powerful SQL Server (I am assuming here that you are using either a SQL version or are going to be installing v10) to handle all the requests.
I am aware there are a lot of things which affect the speed of a system, however the demonstration we received was done from a lap top, using a small database and it was very slow, is this normal?
