Is there any way to get "remote access to the database over the web from any location" using base Maximizer? Or does this require Max Enterprise?
I am aware of techniques like Citrix, Terminal Services and gotomypc.com, but am looking for a more "native" solution. TIA - R. |

Maximizer is a fat client and does not have a web gateway to access a thin client version of the max interface in a browser. The only ways to get remote access are:
- use a VPN and install the max client on the PC with a mapped drive over the network - this has it's risk with data corruption and speed. - maxent9 with maxexchange - you can use email and FTP updates. You can pair two maxexchange servers so that say, New York and London each sync with each other and the users of each site sync with their local server - I did this and it works pretty well. |

Rooster,
The only Thin Client implementation of Maximizer is in the Enterprise eCRM version where you access to the web portals. |
