Is there a feature which will allow me to select a group of contacts and change and/or delete the company associated to them?

In Maximizer Company and Contact records are distinct record types that have a relationship which allows them to be linked, you cannot change the company record a given contact is assigned to by using the global edit. The best way to move contact from one company to another is to create a new company record under the new name and then drag the contacts from one company to another.
