In maximizer 7 when I select a client address and then click "file" then "send email" then "ok" the email address of the client address appears in the "To:" of the "Compose Email Message" but it appears as follows

full name <email address>

I have too remove the "full name" and the two carrots "<>" before I can send the messsage.

When I send to a group of people it is really annoying as all the names come up in the above format separated by commas. Is there a way around this.

Are you using some version of Outlook as your email editor or the Maximizer Email editor. Either way try switching.

Voted most likely to be a Hill Billy, Mental Patient or Chimpanzee.

DBS. Did you ever get your problem fixed regarding Email. When selecting client adddress, and then clicking file, in the Outlook "Send" window, I get:

company name <email address>

I can't get it to send unless I strip off the company name, and the carrrots <> as you refer to them. I don't remember having the problem until recently. Did I accidently change a setting in Enterprise 7 or Outlook?

I hate to ask such a basic question, but have you checkes the Maximizer knowledge base at www.maximizer.com?

I think they had an article on it once.

No I have not gotten rid of this problem yet. I still have to remove the name and the <> "carrots" each time i amil thru maximizer. I however do not have this problem when I send out a email campaign using maxemerge.

I looked but could not find an article on this....if you know of one perhaps you could advise me.

It seems to me that I did not have this problem forever....some setting may have been changed and I can't remember which.

File > Preferences > Email

And while you're there, click the "Advanced..." button and verify that your primary email system is set correctly.

I had this problem in Max 8 using Outlook 2000
A review of the setup instructions in the Max User guide solved the problem.

Outlook *must* be set up for "corporate or workgroup" See outlook help for info on that.

In Maximizer
Select file>
Preferences
Select>
Email tab
Find override extended mapi and make sure it is unchecked.
Tip if you cannot uncheck it select Advanced.
Check Outlook/Outlook Express
Click OK
Uncheck Override Extended MAPI
Select>
Advanced
Select>
Other Email System
( Yes! Other email system. I know we are setting up Outlook and there is an outlook selection but you select other email system)
Click
OK

Click>
apply

Restart Maximizer and you should be OK
