I have set up a network address book under Maximizer 6.0.
How do I change the location of the sync address book on the Remote? (I selected an existing folder inadvertently when setting the sync folder on the remote.)
I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Maximizer and MaxExchange Remote on the work station, but the original address book is still listed as the sync address book on the View Synchronized Address Book Folders menu option in the MaxExchange Remote program.
I am not entirely certain about this one but I'm pretty hopeful it will work. I think that Maxexchange uses the database ID number this actually stored in the Maximizer database to decide what to synchronize with. I think if you move the address book folder on the disk and then go to file new address book folder and reattach Maximizer to the address book folder then Maxexchange will continue working.
Beware I may be wrong if you do this, then be prepared to either move the address book back to where it was and reattach or at the worst case refresh the remote computer. I will speak to a collegue tommorow and see if we can confirm this for you though.

Not sure if i understand the problem. But if you received your first packet and pointed to the wrong database on the remote. That information is stored in the MZXREM.MAX file in the MaxExchange directory. Delete this file and the remote forgets everything about syncronization. Prepare the refresh at the server end, choose to connect from the remote and choose the correct address book or create a new one.

We are using MaxExchange with Maximizer ver 9.5. Everything works in terms of creating a remote site, data is being synced etc. The problem is that i have to choose the database that sits on the server, obviously when i go offline, the database can't be found. If i choose a different database then it does not sync because the database is local and not looking at the maxexchange server - can anyone tell me what i am doing wrong please?
Thanks.
