Hi group,
I noted that Pervasive SQL is now available in a Linux version. I tried to get a response from Maximizer in Canada as to whether it will ever be supported by Maximizer, but I’ve had no response so far. Does anybody have any info. In this regard, or perhaps an opinion.

Login tells me that it should make no difference what OS the DB is deployed on, and that the Maximizer client should be equally happy with a Windows Server or a Linux Server, or am I missing something?

Any thoughts will be helpful.

Regards,
Morpheus

I tried once, several years ago, to host Maximizer data files under Linux. Unfortunately, I was unsuccessful. Both Pervasive.SQL and Samba were working properly on the Linux box, but Maximizer (v6) refused to play along.

Regarding "whether [Pervasive.SQL on Linux] will ever be supported by Maximizer", it's certainly possible, but I doubt it.
