I am about to upgrade from Max 7.0 to 8.0

Is it possible to add sub-data to an option within a table but relative only to that prospect or client ?

Example: I add a table of countries to the database from which clients are likely to import. This can be used for the entire database.

However, additional data needs to be added relevant to that client only, within that country.

So in practice if I do a search:

Who buys from italy ? ( simple ) but if I want to search for "Who buys from Italy ( specifically from this supplier )"

Couldn't find a way to do this in 7.0

Will 8.0 solve this for me ?

You still cannot have sub-items in Table udf's however you can do that search by creating two UDF's.

Create your country UDF eg italy
Then create your suppliers UDF lable the items in this field:

Italy - Bob the tin man
Italy - Peter the pope on a rope dealer
France - Francois the wine dealer

Once all the fields are created and populated you can search either on the country or drill down to the specific dealer as well.

Labeling the dealer items Italy - soandso
will group them and make it easy for users to find the dealer in that country.

Voted most likely to be a Hill Billy, Mental Patient or Chimpanzee.
