We have had Max 9.5 for several months now and we are still just using it for contact management and email. We are a Real Estate Company.

I would like to know from other real estate companies how they have set up oportunites to track their leads. I have been trying to set-up the opportunities and am stuck.

First off, is using opportunites the right module?

Second, I am wanting to take an accepted deal, enter subject dates, completion dates, and have a few other tasks pop-up automatically for each agent.

Thirdly, I would like to create a few other opportunities tracking listings.

Any help would be hugely appreciated.

Also, how are other real estate companies using Max with their clients (individuals)?

Hi Gita - we're not in Real Estate and aren't using the Opportunities part of Max, but wanted to help out as I've investigated what that does, and run business development for our firm so I've got a relatively good handle on it overall. First off, Opportunities is what you'd normally use to track leads. The steps or events are user-defined so there's a fair bit of flexibility, so I think you're on the right track. I also think that would work for you as Real Estate thas a relatively clearly defined process with clean trigger points. That was the sticky point for us, as we're in recruiting and the process is much more variable and just plain fuzzy. So you may want to carefully map your proces the the Opportunities capabilities to ensure you can get what you want.

In terms of adding on the automated workflow you're looking for, I believe Max has the capability although it may require additional software and will certainly require development work. For that I'd recommend you contact a Max Business Partner.

Hope this helps at least a bit - R.
