I would like to know if I import data (csv format) into the address book of Maximizer, can it overwrite the existing data. For example, if some contacts have changed their addresses and I export these data from my accounting program into a csv file and then import them into Maximizer, will the old address be automatically updated to the new ones? It doesn't look like it will.

I also notice that after the import, the newly import contacts are not shown on the screen even I close the address book and then open it again. I have to perform a search in order to have all the newly imported contacts displayed on screen.

Hi Sli,

Maximizer Import is good for simple initial loading of data, its not really designed for updating existing data. However, we've written a product called Max Feed that's designed to do exactly what your looking for. It will match existing records either using the whole address or a by using a key field (eg. your accounts code in an alpha udf).

Take a look a look at www.cabc.co.uk and follow the Add-on/Max Feed options. There's an eval you can download.
