Hi, I have a problem: when I write a document with Max Word Editor and I send this like attachment of an Email, the attachment arrived with *.dat format. If I send with Outlook a document in rtf format like attachment, it arrived correctly.
Maximizer version is Workgroup 7.5 and I can see that the problem verify with Outlook 2000 and XP and with W98,W2000 and Wxp. I have seen the option of Outlook, but I don't obtain result.
Somebody can help me?!
Thank you!

Alex

In Outlook, check under Tools > Options to see if it is set to send plain text messages by default:

If not, make that change and try again. Does that help?

Thank you Gord for your reply, but I just try to change Outlook option. I have seen this problem only one time. The customer that have the problem come from old version of Max (5.1): it's possible that the problem generate during the update?
Thank you

Alex

Not likely. The problem with winmail.dat attachments, as documented here
(and several other places in Microsoft's Knowledge Base) is a function of Outlook itself, not Maximizer.

I don't know that article until today: thank you. I tried only to change the Mail Format!I hope that in this way I will resolve, but I'm distrustful why if I send rtf attachment from Outlook, it arrive correctly. I will inform you next Monday.
Bye
