I have max enterprise 8, and a trial of Maximizer 9

I have dowloaded the link for 9 (can't get the updated link to work on the trial version of 9)

When I sync max to Palm Tungsten E2, I get the contact companies, but no notes or contacts within each company.

HotSync manager 6.0.1
Max Link 9.0

any help would be greatly appreciated, especially the correct Hotsync settings and Max Link settings

I would like to have each company show up in Palm, with contacts and notes available for that company

I read somewhere that into palm palm link will place them seperatly.
Ex: compagny name Tremko, contact name Dominique
Into palm there will be a contact named Tremko then another with Dominique.
I don't use palmlink, I don't know much about it sorry.

thanks for the responses. Unfortunately the documentation for configuring palm link is quite vague and does not list specific settings.

Has anyone used the third party link from France MaxPocketContact? Any experiences with it?

With Maximizer Link Quick Start Guide at 12 pages and the full user guide at 54 pages along with the numerous specific KB articles on Maximizer's site offering support for Maximizer/Palm synchronization I've never heard anyone call that "vague" before... LOL.

If I go back to your original desires :

1) Companies to show up in Max with contacts - they will, but not linked on the Palm the way they are in Max. Max has a one-to-many relationship between a Company and its Contact. The Palm doesn't - so the link comes in the form of each Contact showing up as a Palm Address Book entry with the Company name in the Company field, and the mailing address selected in Max appearing in the address fields. Same result, but very different appearance.

2) Company/Contacts to appear with Notes - THey do, but MaxLink puts the Notes into the Palm Memo application, with the Company or Contact name in square brackets at the beginning of the Note. It means you can use the Palm Search function to find all the Notes for a specific Contact or Company. Tough to use if you want to see all Notes for all Contacts and the Company itself, but ...

I hope this clarifies a bit - and I should mention this is based on Max 7/MaxLink 7.

The ideal would be for Max to develop a PalMax but hey, I'd also like a winning lottery ticket.

I updated to Max Enterprise 9, with the latest patches and MaxLink updates

When attempting to sync, I get a MaxLink
error "SYN1003 Palm to PC Link is Broken"

I am trying to add several hundred companies, with contacts and notes to a Palm Tungsten E2. Would anyone have the correct MaxLink and HotSync settings for such a setup? I am NOT trying to sync the two (I want to simply overwrite the palm data)

I have palm tungsten E2 also. Maby you can try uninstall Maxlink. Then reinstall conduit v4.2 Palm Desktop and HotSync Manager here

Then sync.
- Reinstall palm link without antivirus.
- When he ask 4 time what you want for conduit choose the one that is not outlook.
- After you will need to check configuration of your palm conduit so he alway's choose maximizer.
-Then configure palmlink itselve.
- Remember it is not possible to use maxlink to sync with outlook.

Are you able to see your contacts AND your notes on the Tungsten E2?

Not really I see contact/calendar that are sync with outlook, but notes no.

Hi pepi, i have the same problem on a Treo650 and Maximizer support has been unable to help, even though they took the consulting fee.
Have you been able to figure out what the problem and appropriate solution is?
