I am a single user of Maximizer. Have been using Max 7, but purchased Max 8. After looking at Max 8, I can't see very many benefits for upgrading. I can see how it would help in a networked environment. It also seems like I am giving up some features moving to Max 8. Also seems like there are some cosmetic changes that provide no value, i.e. tabs at top of window now vs. bottom

I would like feedback from others re: pros & cons, since I feel like I might be missing something.

[Pros]
longer descriptive names in document window
Crystal Reports (although I haven't found where to create or modify templates)
Filter options in Notes window
Has 2 more e-mail address fields, but what can you do with them??! Can create extra e-mail UDF fields now with the same functionality
Has a new 'Leads' report section, but can't figure what that is for


[Cons]
UDF Window (can't change background or font size, icon showing type of UDF seems worthless to me)
Cant print calendar summary in weekly or monthly view
Cant scroll thru calendar now using keyboard. Actually as a single user, I hate the new calendar
'My Work Day' seems like a Hotlist view without the ability to filter or sort?!

Anyway, not meaning to vent. This is not re: returning Max 8, which I won't, be just which version is more functional for single user. I read comments that users like 'all of the new features', but I can't seem to see what they are.

Reports > Crystal Reports > Personal > Custom Report...

And that allows me to modify the existing templates that came with Maximizer?
