Greetings:

I am desperate and would appreciate your advice using Maximizer 10 CRM

Can you please point me to instruction on how to import CONTACTS and ADD them into an EXISTING COMPANY contact list?

I TRIED:

A) IMPORT .CVS TABLE

1. Highlighted the company name in the company window
Then Used
2. File>, Import>,> Other Contact Manager Data Base.
3. Mapped the contact field and
4. Imported the .cvs table.

What Maximizer 10 does for each record in my .cvs table is;
• Adds New companies for each person in my .cvs list AND
• Adds a NEW contact for each person in my .cvs list.


B) DRAG and DDROP: I also tried to:
1. Import the .CVS list as individuals into the address book
2. drag and drop them as a “source” entry into the company as a “target Entry” and
3. Combine the source and the target entries

But this does not seem to work.

4. I also tried to “move” instead of “Combine” the entries but this does not work either.

But this does not work either.

Hi Baha,
It sounds as though you may need to a two-tier import. If you already have the companies in Max, you just need to import the contacts as 'contacts' not inividuals through the file - import - address book entries.

However, if the company is not yet in max, I would suggest to:
a) import company without any contacts by selecting the companies/individuals option to import the records.
b) Once this is done, you need to repeat this with only the contacts. Import your contacts as you did with the companies but this time select 'Contacts' when importing.
