I appreciate the hooks they've given, but I've noticed some oddities that I can't quite figure out. I'm using Max Enterprise 5.5, with the Toolkit (5.5). Here's a few of them:
1. sGroups = maxapp.GetCurrentUserGroupMembership returns an error "Argument Not Optional", yet no arguments are defined in the toolkit, and none seem to be allowed 2. bInGroup = maxapp.IsCurrentUserGroupMember("Admin") returns "Wrong Number of Arguments" 3. One of my apps works swimmingly in debug mode, but when compiled, things like SetFieldValue and GetListOfUDFTableItems don't. Has anyone else come across things like this? I've run into a couple of problems with the hooks. The main problem is with the calendar hook. I'm running the hooks to add Novell GroupWise(our in house email and calendar application) appointments whenever one is added in Maximizer. I've got the delete and add functions to work. My logic tells me if nothing else, I should be able to use the code from each of these functions in the modify function. For some strange reason, however, this doesn't work.
The other problem that I'm running into is that I want to use the Database Hook(with the database edit function) to make a log file of the items that have been changed in the database. However, as soon as I change something, the previous info is gone from all existence. Is there some way that I can get ahold of this information? Could someone please help? Thanks, Chad |
